Corn Soup

My oldest friend always prepared that soup in winter when we get to spend an evening at home chatting or watching movies. It is easily prepared and simply delicious!

  1. Peel the onion and dice finely. Heat the oil in a saucepan and fry the onion cubes in it over a low heat until translucent. Peel the garlic cloves and add them together with the broth to the onion and bring it to boil. Mix the corn flour and 50 ml cold water and pour into the broth. Stir well.
  2. Season according to your taste with chili. Rinse the chili pepper, cut it in half and remove the cores and partitions. Chop the chili pepper and add to the soup.
  3. Boil the soup for about 15 minutes at low heat, then strain through a sieve. Add the corn kernels to the soup, heat and season to taste with salt and pepper.
  4. For the decoration peel the onion and dice finely. Clean the spring onion, rinse and cut into thin rings. Rinse tomato, quarter it and remove the stem. Finely dice the tomato quarter. Arrange the maize soup with a blob of sour cream, onion and tomato cubes.
